Walnut Hill Charlottesville is an attractive, gated, Charlottesville community of 64 homes located in Earlysville (north of Charlottesville) with manicured lawns and mature trees in a park-like setting.
Walnut Hills Charlottesville offers numerous amenities including Blue Ridge Mountain views, a lovely pond with a fountain (similar to Monet’s at Giverny), and walking trails throughout the neighborhood.
Note – Nobody seems to know if the correct name is Walnut Hill or Walnut Hills.
In the Charlottesville MLS, it is listed as both. Legally it is known as Walnut Hills.

Directions: From Hydraulic Rd, turn left at “The Rock Store” onto Earlysville Road VSH 743 and go past the airport roundabout at Dickerson Rd. Continue on Earlysville Road towards Earlysville. Right into Walnut Hill.
My thoughts. Walnut Hills is one of the best neighborhoods in Charlottesville and one of the best Charlottesville suburbs. It’s also one of two Charlottesville gated communities (Keswick Estates being the other). I give the Walnut Hills neighborhood a 9 out of 10.
Why not a 10? Because it is too close to Charlottesville Airport and Avionics Specialties, a hazardous waste cleanup site.
